iThoughtsX can configured to 'restore/open' the maps it previously had loaded when it was last closed. This is actually a system setting in OSX and it can be found in the General section of the System Preferences - see below.
Ensure that 'Close windows when quitting an application' is NOT ticked if you want iThoughtsX to reopen previous maps at launch.
