Printing with a watermark

With the latest updates to the iOS and OS X versions of iThoughts it is now possible to include a small 'watermark' in printed documents.

Part of the print config is to set the watermark text. This is text that will be placed in the bottom right corner of the map image. You might use this for a copyright notice.

You can include 'variables' in the text - for example "$name - $modified © ACME":

  • $name (name of the map)
  • $path (path of the map)
  • $modified (date/time of the most recently modified topic in the map.)

See below for the print config (on OS X - same applies on iOS)

The resultant printed document will have a watermark - as below (without the red arrow :-)

NB: Printing involves generating a PDF document (which is then printed.) So you can also use this approach to create a PDF that you can send to people.
